Each day we pray for the needs of individuals and of the world
Evening prayer of Thanksgiving at the launch of our 370th year
PROCLAIM THE GREAT JUBILEE
Here we are at the start of our 370th year. From the small beginnings of the Community and school we are now part of a huge network spread around the world - the international Association of our Sisters, former staff and Old Fish in many lands as well as our own, our local links and contacts, all who have become part of our extended family and those whom we seek to serve.
Let us pause for a moment to bring to mind the things we each have to be thankful for.
- Let us be glad that we are all the inheritors of such a rich heritage
- Let us rejoice in the education of so many young people in this beautiful place
- Let us give thanks for the privilege of living alongside God's people
- Let us give thanks for the great diversity of people in our world
- Let us celebrate the richness of creation and in the beauty of our world
- The light of paschal candle spreads, taking hope joy and love to the world.
As with the disciples on the way to Emmaus, Jesus is beside us on the road as we go out into the world we are creating together with God....
Prayers of hope for the future
Let us create a world without fear.
Let us hold the pain of others to release them. Amen
Let us allow our wounds to be healed so as to heal others.
Let us thirst for justice for those near and far. Amen
Let us quench the real thirst of those without water.
Let us kindle the dreams of others. Amen
Let us rejoice in the friendships rekindled here.
Let us take with us the power of hope. Amen
May wisdom be with us as we walk towards what will be.
May the Light of Christ living within each one shine around us. Amen
May God make safe to you each step.
May God make open to you each pass.
May God make clear to you each road and
May God take you in the clasp of his own two hands. AMEN
