Evening Prayer at the Chapel of St Peter-on-the-Wall, Bradwell-on-Sea, Essex - the oldest church in England
On 24th August 2008 many of the Community together with lay people linked with us, and other friends, led one of the summer Sunday evening prayer series which this year were based on Ecclesiastes 3.
We took TIME as our theme and moved from 'the circle of time' to personal reflection on time in our own personal lives - 'for me, this is a time to.....'
It was the final day of the Olympics and you can see from the pictures below that the five circles of the Olympic logo were used in various ways, ending as symbols of prayer on the altar.
As always on these summer Sundays a good number of people came and joined in with enthusiasm. It was a very prayerful experience.
