Jos Wouters is the Abbot of Averbode, a Norbertine Canonical Community in Belgium, and is Juridical Advisor for the Association of Canonesses of the Holy Sepulchre.

Abbot Jos studied Theology and Canon Law at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. He later engaged in pastoral activities in the abbey’s meditation centre, in parishes and in the ecclesiastical court.

He brings a freshness and energy to Canonical Life and we are delighted that he has agreed to lead an ‘Open Day’ using material which would be of interest to any groups of people - Religious or Lay - who are trying to live Community in the Spirit of St Augustine.
