Bradwell Pilgrimage

The Bradwell Pilgrimage this year had the theme of ‘Water' - but despite the forecast the sun shone and the only water was in the sea sparkling around the Dengie Peninsula.

A large group of pilgrims were welcomed by Bishop Laurie Green at St Thomas's church and after an opening liturgy followed the cross carried by Revd's Margaret & Laurence in procession to the Chapel of St Peter on the Wall.

All day there were events - from speakers to a Saxon re-enactment - with stalls and refreshments - and opportunity for quiet reflection in the beautiful Chapel.

At the closing Liturgy the Footsteps mission team were commissioned and set off following the example of St Cedd to bring the Good News to all they would meet in the next week - but others too left feeling refreshed and renewed in their commitment to -
