Scripture Study
Included in our ministry is the opportunity we offer to anyone who wants to deepen their life of faith through study of the Bible.
Over the last year (2007) courses have been run at two centres: Chelmsford and Colchester. Our method of study is interactive: some in-put, study of texts in small groups followed by discussion and sharing of insights.
Last autumn we started the following courses:
A study of the Gospel of Matthew
Chelmsford at Canon Wilson Hall, Lucas Avenue, on Monday afternoons from 13:45 – 15:45hrs starting on September 17, 2007.
On 21 January 2008 we continued our study of the Gospel of Matthew and hope to complete this by 10 March 2008. On 14 April 2008 we will start a study of Letters to the Ephesians and Colossians. This course will finish on 30 June 2008.
How to Read the New Testament
Colchester at St James the Less & St Helen, Priory Street, on Wednesday evenings from 19:00 – 21:00hrs started on September 19 2007. Based on the book of that name by Etienne Charpentier.
We have continued the study of this book and hope to complete it by the end of June 2008.
NEW COURSES FOR SEPTEMBER
The topic in Colchester will be the Gospel according to Mark, in Chelmsford the Gospel according to John.
Anyone interested is most welcome to join either of these courses. If you want further information please contact Sister Angela by the contact form or ‘phone 01206 867296 or mail to: 48 Priory Street, Colchester CO1 2QB.
